""DR. PHIL"" --- HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT !!
I ran across this little story quite by accident and thought I'ed pass a portion of it on to you. It won't be verbatim, but you will get the just of it.
I'll make it short and sweet for I feel only a motorcycle enthusiat could appreciate this one.
A guest on the "Dr. Phil" show was telling the nation about his problems. He had filed Bankruptcy a couple of years ago and was well on his way to losing everything again!
The Motorcycle -- related anecdote is that despite this poor sap's near financial ruin, He was resolutely unwelling to sell his prized Motorcycle.
"No you don't understand", he pleaded. "IT'S A DUCATI" !!
LOL-- "Dr. Phil", just doesn't get it, does he.

Dr. Phil is suppose to be a psychologist and understand that people need certain things in life...like a Ducati! :P
Plus he is from LA and is Mr. Hollywood so he should know the importance of fine Italian bikes and sports cars. Shame on him.
Seriously though, if you are in financial troubles then you could probably "do without" a Ducati. I know, I know I did say that and I love mine and wouldn't part with it for the world but if I couldn't eat, then the Ducati is one of the first things that would need to go realistically thinking. You would just have pull the bike away from my kung-foo grip because I wouldn't depart with it and not put up a good fight.
LOL-Exactly, I'm sure it would hurt, but, a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. I believe it's called-survival.

Forgive me for I'm about to sound like an idiot, but I looked at your profile before and I didn't see anything except that you are from Arkansas. So are your relatives from Greece? Taking another shot because you have "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" listed as one of your favorite movies. Now that I have made an ass out of myself yet again, I'll give the excuse that it's Monday and my head isn't in full swing yet.
Wow, your music list is...(I don't know what to put there). Just wow. It's not good manners to ask, so I won't, but I wonder how old you are. I know you said you are a Grandma and even if you are a young Grandma, still that list of music is very cool for a Grandma at any age - good mix too. I like a wide variety also.
I can listen to classical, go to Linkin Park, Marilyn Manson, Pink Floyd, John Mayer and then to 50 Cent rap music. You might laugh at this, but how many 20 something's do you know that absolutely love Frank Sinatra? Well count me as probably the only one. I love all his music!
Like you, I'm a Green Day and Jet fan. I can't say I'm an Ah-Ha fan...I forgot about that 80s band. My sister could hum all their tunes though.
By george you got it horay! I am greek, and my religion is orthodox(I really feel bad about not answering that person). I live in AR, but I'm not from here, I grew up in California. Maybe that's why I like the kind of music that I do? But there is not enought room to put all I do like.
I can not explain why I like the things I like, I just do. But Green Day is a great group. Not just there songs I think they're really good musicians too. They give it their all. There's only two kinds of music that I'm not crazy about rap (like some) and COUNTRY, yuk.(God I'm living in hell) And no, I don't know any "20" somethings that listen to Sinatra! (Are you pulling my leg, lol)
No I don't mind, I'm "60" I might look it I don't know but I don't feel it. I don't have to dye my hair yet that's a good thing (I hate grey hair). Yet it's starting to peek through,blaaaah.

I'm with you on the country music, I hate it! Rap on the other hand I like mostly because I got into the beat when I started playing basketball - the team listened to it during warm-ups.
Sinatra, I won't ever get enough of. He relaxes me, puts me in a happy/good mood and he's simply a classic - no comparison.
