YET ANOTHER NEW DISCOVERY
I think it's beautiful. This new crustacean was found in the South Pacific and resembles a lobster.
It is white, covered with what looks like silky, blond fur.
It is also blind, for whatever the reason it had only "the vestige of a membrane" in place of eyes.
It was found in waters 7,540 feet deep at a site 900 miles south of Easter Island last year but I only just found it on the news today.
It was named Kiwa hirsuta and it was so distinct from other species that they created a new family and genus for it. This species will be named Kiwaida, from Kiwa, the goddess of crustaceans in Polynesian mythology.
Well, if they keep making all of these new discoveries they may find Bigfoot yet.

It's nice to know about a new species that exists. Of late, it's extinction of species that we hear about all the time.

I never really thought about it that way, but you are so right.
I don't want to eat it, either, but if there are a lot of them out there, someone probably will someday. Wouldn't be any different than the folks who eat the little fish bones and all.

It is only 6inches long. Very small compared to a lobster.
I saw Bigfoot once....
