REMEMBER WHEN ?
Do you remember when.............
Gasoline was 12.9 ¢ per gallon and the attendant pumped the gas,
washed the windshield, checked engine oil & tire pressure.
Oleo was white... you added coloring... kneaded the package until
it turned yellow.
Penicillin was developed for infections.
For the first time you could purchase sliced bread
in the grocery stores.
Man first walked on the moon.
Transistor radios were the thing to have.
8-track tapes & cassette tapes were popular.
Analog & amp; Digital Hearing Aids were the latest in technology.
How old are you anyway ?

"Gasoline was 12.9 ¢ per gallon"!!! That'd mean I could buy my month's worth of gasoline in the amount I spent to fill up my tank this morning!
Id it is,
Sad isn't it.
yes .. we remember what we can .. never forget one's past .. learn from it. Old is Gold mate!
This "skyrockting" is here too.
rrr....... i was somewhere around MINUS 10 or more? :D
how are you doing, ma'am?
I remember the cassette tapes!
I'll shut up now...
Nabeel,
I agree with that. It is important to use the past for a learning tool. To bad some people never learn. Nice to have your views.
Thank you for visiting.
Shirazi,
Small towns here seem to suffer terribly, where wages are very low, but gas is high and groceries are outrageous.
'Ka,
Hi, I'm fine how are you doing?
Becky,
Ha, ha, I remember cassette tapes too.
I have placed some photos on Historic trio. And hey, your was one of the coolest comment I ever got while blogging many years. Thanks.
Shirazi,
You're welcome, but I didn't do anything special.
ha! I'm 26, I don't remember ANY of that!!!!
heheheheheeheehe!
Lizzy,
Don't feel to bad, I only remember 3 of them.
hmz... I remember the cassette tapes and the record player... oww and we had a black & white tv when I grow up.
I'm 30 btw.
The benzine prices are here around the 1,39 Euro per liter
(1 gallon = 3,7854118 liter)
(1 dollar = 0,782 Euro)
hot n'SWEET,
My Mother had old 78 records, I loved them and used to play them over and over. I learned every one of those songs.
I can't do the math on the Euro's but I'm guessing it's high there too in compared to peoples income.
and ahhh .. those times when the gas was cheap .. I saw a sticker today .. a car sticker and it said .. my country invaded iraq and all i got was high gas prices ..
hehe, cool stuff. i only just threw away most of my tapes very recently. The best ones were always the compilation tapes someone made for you from their favourite songs.
Dora,
The tapes I liked the most were usually the ones that tore up. I still have a few.
oh they bloody did!!! i forgot about that!!!! :))))

Mojo,
Well, I know I'm older then you, but I don't remember the 12.9 gas either.
I grew up in the UK, I remember Black & White TV with 2 channels, beer only came in bottles, coffee was only drunk by people in the USA and the most amazing piece of technology I remember was the light that came on when the fridge door was opened....how sad is that? the good old days ?? I don't think so!!
Rudi,
You made me remember things long forgotten. Wow, I may have to save them for a post.
Just a final comment...How old am I ?...My old Gran used to say "I'm as old as my tongue and a bit older than my teeth"...let's leave it at that.
