,Where did all those years go.
At first I thought it was going to take forever,

but now it seems like I blinked and there it was

How did we get from point (A)
to point (B) so suddenly.

What I thought was going to take forever
suddenly came too quickly. I blinked and there it was.

Graduation Day had arrived

and it was lovely !

It was held in the evening indoors and it was huge. I had no idea that this was going to be such a large class of graduates. The best thing of all was at no time was it boring. There were several songs sung and many speeches made and all of them well done. And of course my heart swelled with pride to hear my grandsons name mentioned for the two college courses he had taken during his senior year.

And when the ceremony was over and all of the graduates were shaking hands and saying there good byes is when I got a big surprise.

I had no idea just how popular my grandson was with the girls. I noticed one girl come up to him and ask for a kiss, being the ham that he is he gave her the shy look then turned his cheek tapped his finger on his cheek and held out his arms with a big smile on his face to collect his kiss on the cheek. After that all the girls lined up for their kiss. I did not see that happen to any of the other guys. That was one long line and he was enjoying every minute of it.

And from afar -- so was I.

So what happened after graduation. Well it seems that there has been a tradition here for several years and that tradition is that right after graduation all of the graduates team up with so many friends to a car and head to Florida for a weeks vacation. And God only knows what else. And that is where he has been this week.

Panama City Florida

Don't you know when those country boys saw this they thought they were in heaven.

Day one had to be lounge around and watch all those sun bathers.

Or should I change that to watch all those Bikini's go by.

First time my grandson will have ever seen the ocean.

A little play time in the ocean.
Opps, I got a phone call,
he dropped his

cell phone in the
ocean water.

He retrieved it

but he thinks it's dead.

No doubt in my mind

that he loved that sunset

I'm sure they enjoyed checking out the night life

But as a grandmother I hope they didn't enjoy it too much.
They are do home sometime this week-end
I can't wait to hear all the details.

Well you know, what I mean

the ones he will share anyway.

I apologize for the messy post. I don't know if there was something wrong with the computer or if there was something wrong with the net or possibly something was wrong with my blog provider but I tried putting up this blog five times before I got it up at all.

The only good thing that happened today is that I'm happy to say it's good to be back in Blogsville.

Hey there! Welcome back! So the grandson is a stud, huh? ;) I'm just kidding. Congratulations to him and hope he is having a great time with his friends.

Hi Exseno,

Unfortunately I have no clue what "graduation" means in the USA. Does it certify he completed successfully
the 12 or 13 years of school (Baccalaureatus)?

Or is this part of a university degree, as was the case in Germany? (I hold a university degree in business and economics, formerly called graduated business engineer).

Hi Georg,
Yes, he has complete his first 12 years of school. And now can go on to a University, which we would love for him to do but at this time we can not afford.

However he is thinking that he would like to go on to enter EMT Medic training college to be an Emergency Medical Technician.

Personally I would love to see him go to college to be a History teacher. He is a huge History buff. He knows everthing about history and when he explains it to you he makes it all sound so interesting, it's like listening to a story.

Most history teachers are so boring.

Congratulations to him! A new phase begins for him and for you as you watch him set new goals and venture onto new paths.
A very interesting and heartfelt post.

Hi Id it is,
Yes it will be interesting for me as well. At this point in time I intend to 'not' suggest but to listen to what he wants to do. And support him in whatever he chooses.

What a stud! The girls probably had a crush on him for a while and on the last day of school she couldn't endure it anymore and had to get a kiss! So cute!
