Hearts of Stone
There are hearts so young and tender
There are hearts that come and go
There are hearts that love forever
Oh, what a pleasure to know .
Then there is a different
Kind of heart that some have known
They're tender, kind and loving
Then suddenly grow cold
They misuse you and abuse you
Until you have to go
These are the hearts that I think
Must be made of stone.

The Greatest Love of all
The love that you must conquer
Is a love you've never known,
It lurks deep in the shadows
From where you do not know.
So many fear to find it
They simply let it go,
They lose the chance to find
The greatest love they'll ever know.
So look into the mirror
At the image you reflect,
For the hardest love to conquer
Is the one within ones self.
( Sorry, had the greatest urge to thro a couple of my poems up )

Thank you, but I don't post my poems very often, some people don't like to find poetry on blogs.
My husband past away. I retired at the age of 50 on a very, very tiny pension for reasons which would take to long to explain.
When I did work I worked for the cooperative extension service for many years. Gov. dropped that part of the program and everyone in it lost their jobs. After that I ran a pizza resturant for the owner. He ran one and I ran the other. I have a son and a daughter and a few others that adopted me when they worked for me. They keep in close touch.
Hey exseno, it's your blog! Keep the poems coming! If I wrote poems as good as yours, you better believe I'd have them on my blog!

I've written a poem or two before, but I dare not share them. Why? Well I guess when it comes to that I am shy/private/too personal and the only one who sees them would be the person I would write for. Yours was pretty good though, so post them if you want. Like the person before me commented...your blog, your show, run it however you choose. Just make sure YOU are the one enjoying it and who cares what everyone else thinks. They can go elsewhere if they don't like it - that's my motto...trying to live by it too. ;)

You won't believe this but no one new about my poems for years. Not even my husband . He died not knowing. A young friend of mine ( the one that taught me some marsal arts), He is the only guy that could ever weedle my deepest darkest secrets out of me. I'll drop it there. To long to tell.
And D*mn I missed that fight, was it good. Sh*t. I saw the Wright fight. ( did I apell it right) Trinadad fight. No contest there.
And no I don't like to put a lot of poems on my blog. Maybe every once in a while. Sometimes to send out a message and sometimes to get an opinion on which ones are good or nt. But I've never been one to read poetry so I don't know where it comes from.
Did you miss a good fight? Golota was knocked down 3 times in round 1! TKO - crazy! At one point he fell thru the freakin' ropes from the punch!
