So what do you think about her. Will the "Runaway Bride ", be prosecuted ???
I don't think she should be prosecuted, but I do have my opinion about her. Frankly I was shocked by her actions!
If she really couldn't face anyone to say she needed more time, she could have at least picked up a phone after she left and said she was fine and needed some alone time to think. If she feared an arguement she could have hung up immediately after letting someone know that she was alright, rather then putting everyone in such dispair.
I can't think of anything worse than having someone you love come up missing, especially a child, no matter how old that child may be. I believe it is possible for a parent to have a heart attack from the anguish of imagining what might have happened. Makes me wonder what she is really like???
I think she showed a great deal of imaturety and selfishness.
It was to me, like the act of a spoiled brat.---------Sorry that's just how I feel about it.
Maybe because I could never do something like that to people who loved me. But I could have said to someones face, that I'm not ready for this , and it would have been more then "ONE DAY", before the wedding.
Something is definitely wrong somewhere. If she's not spoiled rotten and doing this for attention and if she really couldn't talk at all about how she was feeling --- what does that say about her parents. ?????? I can understand her not wanting to hurt her fiances feelings this close to the wedding . but what does this say about her relationship with her parents , that she couldn't at least say something to one of them.
And what about Mr. Right, something has got to be wrong with him. If I were him after that stunt I would be re-thinking things my own self . I would be the one wanting to postpone the wedding for a while .
Maybe Mr. Right is really Mr. Wrong. I can't think of many men that I have known, that wouldn't be humiliated and insulted to the point of wanting to call the whole thing off.
Does he reallly love her that much, or does he have something to gain by being a member of the family ?? Makes one wonder??

EXSENO, quit reading my mind! I almost posted about this same thing just the other day on my blog - weird.

In this post, I couldn't agree with what you said more. That quote you made above, that is ME to a tee. I would of dumped her after that. What is wrong with this guy? He needs to get some balls here.
Everyone gets cold feet and it happens mostly before weddings. It's normal and doesn't necessarily mean you are making a mistake or you should post-pone the wedding. I too feel she should of said something long ago about her cold feet and not waited until days before to vanish! What makes it even worse is from what I heard on the news is that she said she was kidnapped/abducted when they found her. Even then she couldn't fess up to the truth and say "hey I got cold feet and needed some time alone". She is sick in the head. How can you put your fiancée and your family and friends in such agony like that? It's just selfish, cruel, very wrong and immature on her part.
This dumb guy she is marrying is all "happy" now she is found and is anxious to marry her! Are you kidding me? Sure I would be happy you weren't really kidnapped, but f that if you think I want to stick with you after pulling that stunt. She made him look like crap and feel like crap. He shouldn't be accepting her crap even though it looks like he is - sucker.
I keep rambling, but thought I should add this thought...
My man there should take this disappearing act of his soon-to-bride as a sign...a sign that she isn't the one he should be with. Why do I say that? Well if he would look beneath the surface, a few facts would hit him.
#1 You don't pull a stunt like that to the people you love. She caused him and everyone else who cares about her a great deal of pain.
#2 In no way is she ready for this serious commitment, at least with him she is not. Her cold feet was taken to the extreme and beyond.
#3 She is dishonest. Why would she lie and say someone kidnapped her? She must live for the drama in life and when there isn't any real drama, she has to invent some via her imagination and at any cost. I don't know a man alive who wants that in a woman.
#4 Dude she doesn't love you. How can I say that without knowing her? Well if she truly loved you she wouldn't do that to your heart, play with your emotions. She would want you to feel happy, secure and relaxed. She did anything but that by disappearing and making up this tale.
Bottom line, you don't want someone in your life that can be so careless with your feelings. She obviously isn't ready for marriage and she went to great lengths to drive that point home, even though it could of just been simply said "not ready to marry you". You don't say you love someone and then treat them so cruelly and selfishly. She only cares about herself and if she cared about him, she would of found the courage to post pone or cancel the wedding the normal way. When you hurt someone like that and embarrass them, you should not expect them to forgive and forget so easily. I wouldn't want this girl to even touch me after that, let alone welcome her home with open arms and keep the wedding plans going.
This guys is a doormat. He is letting her walk into and out of his life at her own will. I don't think this wedding will take place and if it does, the marriage won't last long. Mark my words.
