WHAT IS YOUR WORTH

Do you greet the poor man

As though he was of wealth.

Do you look him in the eye

And treat him with respect,

Or do you turn the other way

And wish that he would go away.

For true worth is not measured

in riches or in fame,

It's measured by

What's in your heart

So can you truly say --

That you are loving and forgiving

Compassionate and kind,

Do you greet the poor man

Or turn the other way?

The only thing that matters is Truth. True feelings, True respect, True Love 'n' True Faith in all these things. *Smiles*

God bless you....

I know the way I greet defeats the purpose, as I greet the poor man with perhaps more respect than the wealthy man.

poor or wealthy, it's just the surface...

my parents taught me that everybody deserves respect and compassion regardless their skin color, the thick of their wallet and their religion... and that's what i'm trying to do the best i can

Nice poem!
Now...I have to be honest..
I don't always 'greet' the poor man, and sometimes I do 'look the other way'. However, that's not the trend. I do do my bit, but not with the xepress purpose of proving my worth. I do it when it comes naturally

A man's success should not be measured by how much money he makes in life. My idea of success is many things tied together - my work, my charector, if he's a good husband, father, friend, brother and son.
