TO SLEEP, PERCHANCE TO DREAM

What's in a dream? Is it truth or fantasy ? A message in a bottle, coming from some unknown place deep within your mind ? Or is it a figment, of your wild imagination. Is it truth or dare, fact or fiction. What's in a dream?

Some think that dreams are a way of the brain communicating with you while you are asleep, telling your fortune and warning you of things to come. Others think that dreams are a replay of a past life. And still others think that a dream is just a dream -- nothing more, nothing less, to be tossed aside and forgotten upon awakening.

FOR ANSWERS

An A to Z look up guide.
Really easy to use and here is an example of what you will find :

Under the "C 's"
Chase/being chased
1. Being at a disadvantage in a given situation.
2. Actually being pursued, probably in the sense of being "chased" by a potential lover, employer, or customer.
Astrological parallels: Aries, Gemini, Mercury.

Chasing
Pursuit of a dream or something else that's just out of reach. Astrological parallel: Gemini, Sagittarius.

Under the "G 's"
Ghost
1. Dreaming of a haunted house indicates that guilt from the past is holding you back from accomplishing something you really want. Actually seeing a ghost, however, is an omen of good luck.
2. If you are frightened by a ghost, this could mean that mistakes in your past have "come back to haunt you." It could also mean that intense pressure to do something against your principles could be put upon you by someone in a position of authority.
3. If the ghost is someone known to you who has passed on and who speaks to you, listen. The message is important. See Dying.

HAPPY HUNTING: Past, Present -- or future.

Are you sure we aren't related somehow? In another life perhaps? You are interested in pretty much the same stuff I am - weird. Cool, but weird. You know my fascination with serial killers and dreams are right up there on my list. Remember my 2 dream posts months ago? Well I still haven't stopped having some of those same dreams. I dream really EVERY night.

I think they do mean something, subconscious telling you things. According to all the psychology stuff I took in college, the experts agree.

Too bad I got little to no sleep last night, but even then I had time to dream. Right now I am going to daydream about this boy and in a nice red Ferrari! Hmm, someday maybe it will become reality. ;)

lol, yes I do remember your dream posts. I am scared to tell you that we are more alike then even I thought (even tho I've teased you about it). The other day when you did the post on serial killers and I got to the part where you said something about psychology. I thought Oh my God there is no way I'm going to tell you me too or you are going to think I'm saying these things just because you are.

But Diamondkt it's true. Can't believe you made that comment. I have always thought that I would love to be a psychologist. I even thought about enrolling in some class later in life (as short as 5 yrs ago.
What stopped me. A couple of things , but one was- The fear that I would make it. It would be just my luck to treat some wacked out psycho that would later stalk me. Like that movie with Sigourney Weaver I can't think of the name of it. I'm older then you so I like all these things first. lol,

Vacation? Damn Callie take me with you! Would be nice to escape the 9-5. What am I talking about, I hardly ever work those cushy hours, lol. I promise to sit quietly and not ask "are we there yet, Mom are we there yet".

EXSENO, I'll check out that link. I just didn't get time to do so yet. I too (yes can you believe it) thought about psych for a major back when I was 17. Like you, I was wasn't really worried about some crazy person I treated turning out to haunt me later, but rather I was worried that all their bitching and moaning would be depressing to hear all the time. Not only that, but I would want to say shut up and get over it already you f-ed up nut case! Drama queens and complainers aren't my favorite types of people to be around. Yeah, I probably wouldn't stay in business long there. You think? :P

I have been interested in dreams but not to the point of actually doing research. Your post is interesting! Have you ever dreamed reruns? I went through a period of about a week when every night I dreamed dreams I had dreamed before (sounds like lyrics to a song [grin]). Talk about being incredibly b-o-r-e-d! It affected my life in such a way that scared me. I got to the point I didn't want to go to bed; and I didn't get any real rest. It seemed I could not change the channel because whenever I'd wake myself up because the dream was so boring, I'd fall back asleep and dream another repeat. What did that mean?

To anwer you question, Yes I have had repeated dreams. As for what they mean- well that depends on what you are seeing in the dream. Sometimes a dream is nothing more then a dream and sometimes I do believe the dream is sending a message. So like I said it all depend on what you are seeing in the dream.

There is a difference, I think, between dreams that are for the purpose of telling you something and just a rerun/repeat. I agree that it is all about what you are dreaming.

IMO, a vision dream is more vivid and will actually wake you up, fully alert in the middle of the night. A rerun is simply boring.

Thank you for visiting my site, Exceno. I appreciate it!
