IT'S PRETTY BAD WHEN --
Well, my thirteen and a half year old grandson just sat me down and explained some politics, the oil situation and economics. I think? Unfortunetly he made a lot of sense .
He explained that we are low man on the totum poll when it comes to producing oil. I can't remember exactly what our status is, but he said we are something like 6th or 8th in the world when it comes to producing oil and he named the 6 or 8 countries that produced more then we do. (pretty bad when your grandson is smarter then you are.)
And so , (the little bugger said) " We will probably have to buy the oil that we were producing from other countries. Therefore, it is inevitable that gas prices will have to rise." And that's the exact words he used (inevitable, stinker).
Well, I am perclepst, (oh so what if it's not spelled right, is it in the dictionary, not), but I will not not give in, I stand by my post below.
He's always been this way, even when he was little he'd rather watch the news then a cartoon,( the little shit.)

That is very interesting. A child to watch news instead of cartoons. Is FWL a child prodigy? Most 13 year olds are clueless as to what is going on. Most will only care when allowances start to disappear because parents have to every extra bit of money on gas....
Oh, he likes cartoons, but he has to watch his news. If there's a choice he'll watch the news first.
I don't know about being a prodigy Mojo, I don't think he is that smart. Sometimes he seem way beyond his years other times he's just like any other kid. Silly stupid acting. lol He's really a great kid.
It has to make you proud though, what a smart little bugger?! ;-)
Oh yes, but I think the way a child developes depends also on how you raise them in the first few years. Before he was old enough to go to school I taught him how to read. He is very impatient if he doesn't get something right away he get very upset, so I made everything a game. I bought several sets of Magnitized Alphabet letters and put them on the front of the fridge. we started with two letter words, then three etc. Anytime I was in the kitchen I would ask him to pick out a word, like to, me, you, that's how it started after that we progressed. So he could spell before he started school. But now he has passed me up. lol
hehehehe!
Please pass on all his valuable information! I am SO confused!
he is so smart....he may become a politician when he grows up....
Avik, He wanted to be a freedom fighter and free the whole world hahaha, starting with Cuba. Now he is thinking maybe he needs to run for President and try to make world piece. I'm sure he willl change his mind many times. We shall see. Let's just hope what ever he become he takes the right path. He has a long way to go between now and adulthood.
smart little bugger is right on. i bet you just adore him.
Okay everybody, how many 13 year olds or 14 year olds do you know that have an ear for news and can tell you about world politics and economics?
He is above par....
O.K. a little above par Mojo
Me too Lizzy, me too!
I am Anisa,
It was a chance to correct the mistakes I made with my own. I wish I could have given them the attention I have given him.
I could of told you where oil comes from, why the price of it and gas fluxuates (spelling?) and all that other economic junk, but would that make you feel any better coming from a guy in his 20s as compared to one in his teens? Lol, probably not. ;)
Oops, hit publish too fast...
Unique grandson you have there. At that age, I wasn't into world news or anything like that.
Ya, I know he's pretty great, but sometimes you'ed never know that he had it in him. He's just a kid all at the same time. And OMG, don't even say anything about history. He absorbs it like a sponge. He remembers names dates people documents, it's amazing.
Is he FUTURE WORLD LEADER ???
Yes, Avik, he is.
He certainly is an intelligent young man--I hope he goes far with it!!
