LETS TALK MARIJUNUA

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

THE MARIJUNUA DEBATE CONTINUES
It seems that the Medical Marijunua issue is still on the table. With people forming groups once again, to lobby in favor of making Marijunua legal ( for medical reasons of course ) . Some famous people have even come forward to help lobby in favor of the issue. Among them (and in the middle of it all ) is Montel the famous talk show host. Lobbying his little heart out with a group of followers standing behind him.
I personally think they should go ahead and do it. But then I think that all illegal drugs shoud be made legal. Why you say -- because if it were legal there would probably be less violence , deaths , and robbing of other people to get the money to buy it. In fact , I'm sure of it. But that will never happen because it's to big a business just the way it is.
You know I heard many years ago that the government in most countries had thier hand in the drug import, export business and I firmly believe it and if you don't you are more sinile then I am.
And that is the number one reason why it will never be legalized. It's just to lucrative a business , for those at the top of the drug chain.
So what do you believe ? Do you believe it should be legalized or not ?
YES or NO and why ?

SERVICE HELPS DOG OWNERS INTERPRET BARKS

South Koreans hoping to communicate with man's best friend could be getting help soon from their cell phones. KTF Corp., a South Korean mobile phone operator, said Thursday it will begin offering a service that will enable dog owners to know whether their pets are feeling happy or sad.

The users must first connect to Internet with their cell phones, and then register information of their dogs such as the breed and age. The service will then record the dog's bark.

The owner will receive text messages telling them how their pet is feeling, such as "I am happy" or "I am frustrated."

The service, which will begin on Friday, will also translate basic messages into dog sounds. The service will cost about one dollar.

More than half of 48 million South Koreans use cell phones, and many of them use mobile phones with advanced features such as mobile banking, satellite navigation and high-speed Internet.

THE CONTENDER -- RETURNS

"THE CONTENDER" KEEPS FIGHTING

MIDDLEWEIGHT STARS TO SET OFF FIREWORKS IN THE RING ON
JULY 5TH IN LAS VEGAS"

I went to a boxing site that said the ratings for the Contender fight were so high that they are bringing it back July 5th. In fact all of the boxing sites were raving about the fight and the boxers. The bad news is it is going to be on PPV.

The upside of this may be that if the reviews were that good maybe they will bring the show back next season.

GRANNY FOUGHT LIKE A TIGER

HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS TODAY ??

Woman Calls 911 With Pizza Complaint Wed May 25, 7:08 AM ET

An 86-year-old woman was jailed after police said she called 911 dispatchers 20 times in a little more than a half-hour — all to complain that a pizza parlor wouldn't deliver.

Dorothy Densmore was charged with misusing the 911 system, a jail spokeswoman said.

She told dispatchers Sunday that a local pizza shop refused to deliver a pie to her south Charlotte apartment, said Officer Mandy Giannini. She also complained that someone at the shop called her a "crazy old coot," Giannini said.

Densmore wanted them arrested. Instead, police came to arrest her, and she resisted, Giannini said.

It's unusual for someone to face charges for nonemergency calls, Giannini said. But on Sunday, Densmore kept calling 911, even after she was told to stop, Giannini said.

When an officer arrived at her apartment, the 5-foot-tall, 98-pound woman attacked him, Giannini said. Densmore scratched him, kicked and bit his hand, she said.

Densmore also is charged with resisting a public officer and two counts of misusing the 911 system, jail records show.

** I really think this could have been handled a little differently, or at least I hope it could have. The old lady is obviously senile did nobody notice and she might not have fought back if they had not tried to arrest her right of the bat.
I realize what she did was wrong and something needed to be done. But why not try asking her some questions, the name of a family member. She might have been friendly with a neighbor that could have helped. I guess it was just faster to arrest her.

What do you think ? If you were the officers sent to the house, would you have arrested her immediately or -------You fill it in: WHAT WOULD YOU DO ???

MORE BOXING - I THINK ??

WRIGHT VS TRINIDAD Posted by Hello

It was a win, win, lose, lose situation. All win for Wright and all lose for Trinidad.

What can I say, it was a sad fight. I think Trinidad needs to go back to being a Welterweight. Maybe then he'll have a chance. The few punches he landed -- well let me put it this way -- I could have made Wright feel it more then Trinidad did. It was like there was no strength behind thos punches at all. I'm serious it was sad !!

Wright looked great really buff and fought a good fight, lol, (such as it was), but the long and short of it is -- for 12Rds he might as well have been shadow boxing.

I can't help feeling a little sorry for Trinidad. I don't get it, he dances around and hangs in there, (such as it is), but there's was just nothing there. SAD!

DON'T LIKE POEMS - DON'T LOOK

Hearts of Stone

There are hearts so young and tender

There are hearts that come and go

There are hearts that love forever

Oh, what a pleasure to know .

Then there is a different

Kind of heart that some have known

They're tender, kind and loving

Then suddenly grow cold

They misuse you and abuse you

Until you have to go

These are the hearts that I think

Must be made of stone.

The Greatest Love of all

The love that you must conquer

Is a love you've never known,

It lurks deep in the shadows

From where you do not know.

So many fear to find it

They simply let it go,

They lose the chance to find

The greatest love they'll ever know.

So look into the mirror

At the image you reflect,

For the hardest love to conquer

Is the one within ones self.

A STORY WORTH PASSING ON !!

HAVE YOU EVER TRUNED YOUR HEAD THE OTHER WAY?? HAVE'NT WE ALL.

INTERESTING STORY

One day, when I was a freshman in high school,

I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school.

His name was Kyle.

It looked like he was carrying all of his
books.

I thought to myself, "Why would anyone bring home all his books on a Friday?

He must really be a nerd."

I had quite a weekend planned (parties and a football game with my friends tomorrow afternoon), so I shrugged my shoulders and went on.

As I was walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him.

They ran at him, knocking all his books out of his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt.

His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass about ten feet from him.

He looked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes

My heart went out to him. So, I jogged over to him and as he crawled around looking for his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.

As I handed him his glasses, I said, "Those guys are jerks.

They really should get lives.

" He looked at me and said, "Hey thanks!"

There was a big smile on his face.

It was one of those smiles that showed real gratitude.

I helped him pick up his books, and asked him where he lived.

As it turned out, he lived near me, so I asked him why I had never seen him before.

He said he had gone to private school before now.

I would have never hung out with a private school kid before.

We talked all the way home, and I carried some of his books.

He turned out to be a pretty cool kid.

I asked him if he wanted to play a little football with my friends

He said yes.

We hung out all weekend and the more I got to know Kyle, the more I liked him, and my friends thought the same of him.

Monday morning came, and there was Kyle with the huge stack of books again.

I stopped him and said, "Boy, you are gonna really build some serious muscles with this pile of books everyday!

" He just laughed and handed me half the books.

Over the next four years, Kyle and I became best friends.

When we were seniors, we began to think
about college.

Kyle decided on Georgetown, and I
was going to Duke.

I knew that we would always be friends, that the miles would never be a problem.

He was going to be a doctor, and I was going for business on a football scholarship.

Kyle was valedictorian of our class.

I teased him all the time about being a nerd.

He had to prepare a speech for graduation.

I was so glad it wasn't me having to get up there and speak

Graduation day, I saw Kyle.

He looked great.

He was one of those guys that really found himself during high school.

He filled out and actually looked good in glasses.

He had more dates than I had and all the girls loved him.

Boy, sometimes I was jealous.

Today was one of those days.

I could see that he was nervous about his speech.

So, I smacked him on the back and said, "Hey, big guy, you'll be great!"

He looked at me with one of those looks (the really grateful one) and smiled.

"Thanks," he said.

As he started his speech, he cleared his throat, and began

"Graduation is a time to thank those who helped you make it through those tough years.

Your parents, your teachers, your siblings, maybe a coach...but mostly your friends...

I am here to tell all of you that being a
friend to someone is the best gift you can give them.

I am going to tell you a story."

I just looked at my friend with disbelief as he told the story of the first day we met.

He had planned to kill himself over the weekend.

He talked of how he had cleaned out his locker so his Mom wouldn't have to do it later and was carrying his stuff home.

He looked hard at me and gave me a little smile.

"Thankfully, I was saved.

My friend saved me from doing the unspeakable."

I heard the gasp go through the crowd as this handsome, popular boy told us all about his weakest moment.

I saw his Mom and dad looking at me and smiling that same grateful smile.

Not until that moment did I realize it's depth.

Never underestimate the power of your actions.

With one small gesture you can change a person's life.

For better or for worse.

God puts us all in each other's lives to impact one another in some way.

Look for God in others.

You now have two choices, you can:

1) Pass this on to your friends or

2) Delete it and act like it didn't touch your heart.

As you can see, I took choice number 1.
"Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."

There is no beginning or end.. Yesterday is history.

Tomorrow is mystery.

Today is a gift.

A VERY, VERY SCARY FIND

I found this post on someone elses site. I wanted other people to read it to see what they thought about it but it scared me so much I didn't even want to copy it and post it on my site.

It was posted by some sort of religious group. Have a look and read it if you dare. The title of the post is : " Warning to the Free World from a former Muslim". He has left them and telling it all.

Here is the name of the Blog: http://almost-time.blogspot.com It has been a while since I first found it, so you will have to check their Archieves, they are way down at the bottom. I think I clicked on January 9th and I had no trouble finding it from there.

I don't know if it's true or not, but it's worth reading. Very enlightening if it is true.

You read it and decide for yourselves . And by all means please let me know what you think!!

Happy Hunting!

WHAT HAVE WE BECOME ??

This is so outragous I can't believe it. No matter what you think of these people no one , absolutely no ones religious believes, bibles or icons should be desecrated in this way. I love my country, but people like this are ruining everything we are trying to do over there. I personally am ashamed of their actions. They are representing all of us when they are over there. And this is one time when I strongly agree with the other side. They do deserve "OUR APOLOGY" !

UNIVERSITY STUDENTS PROTEST

U.S. MUST APOLOGISE OVER KORAN REPORT -AFGHAN PAPER
MAY 14, 2005

The United States should apologize to Muslims for the senseless desecration of the Koran which has only strengthened the hands of fanatics and undermined efforts to build democracy, an Afghan newspaper said on Saturday.

Sixteen Afghans have been killed and about 100 injured since violent anti-U.S. protest erupted on Wednesday over a report in Newsweek magazine that U.S. military interrogators at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba had desecrated the Koran.

Protests spread across the Muslim world on Friday with thousands taking to the streets in Pakistan, Indonesia and Gaza.

The United States has tried to calm Muslim anger, saying disrespect for the Koran was abhorrent and would not be tolerated, and military authorities were investigating the allegation.

But the Outlook newspaper said the United States must do more.

"The U.S. government should officially apologize to the Muslims of the world about the heart-wrenching act of desecration of the holy Koran ... and immediately arrest and punish those who are responsible," it said in an editorial.

Newsweek said in its May 9 edition investigators probing abuses at the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay found that interrogators "had placed Korans on toilets, and in at least one case flushed a holy book down the toilet."

Muslims consider the Koran the literal word of God and treat each book with deep reverence.

"Already there are strong anti-American feelings among some Muslims who think America, by going to war in Afghanistan and Iraq, waged a war against Islam," said Outlook, Afghanistan's only English-language daily.

"These types of senseless actions will only strengthen the hands of fanatics and fundamentalists and undermine all efforts toward building democratic societies," it said.
( I hate to see them burning our flag. It makes me sick. )
*TODAYS ARTICLE FROM NEWSWEEK STATES *
ALL REPORTED MAY NOT BE TRUE

We regret that we got any part of our story wrong, and extend our sympathies to victims of the violence and to the U.S. soldiers caught in its midst," Whitaker wrote in the magazine's latest issue, due to appear on U.S. newsstands on Monday.

The weekly news magazine said in its May 23 edition that the information had come from a "knowledgeable government source" who told Newsweek that a military report on abuse at Guantanamo Bay said interrogators flushed at least one copy of the Koran down a toilet in a bid to make detainees talk.

But Newsweek said the source later told the magazine he could not be certain he had seen an account of the Koran incident in the military report and that it might have been in other investigative documents or drafts.

Whitaker told Reuters that Newsweek did not know if the reported toilet incident involving the Koran ever occurred. "As to whether anything like this happened, we just don't know," he said in an interview. "We're not saying it absolutely happened but we can't say that it absolutely didn't happen either."

ARE YOU SUPERSTITIOUS ???

WHY IS FRIDAY THE 13th CONSIDERED SUCH AN UNLUCKY DAY

Exploring the history behind the day that made Jason and hockey masks infamous.

It seems, the basis for this superstition stems from the events that took place on Friday, October 13, 1307. On that day, the Pope of the Roman Catholic church, in combination with the King of France, sentenced the "the Knights Templar" to death and ordered the torture and crucifixion of their leader.

Urban legend experts agree that Western culture has considered Friday the 13th particularly unlucky for hundreds of years. The sixth day of the week has often been considered unlucky, as has the number 13. The combination, which occurs one to three times a year, leads to the inevitable superstition.

Some say the number 13 was purposely vilified by the priests of patriarchal religions because it represented femininity. Thirteen corresponded to the number of lunar (menstrual) cycles in a year, and the number was revered in prehistoric goddess-worshipping cultures.

Hindus believed that it was unlucky for 13 people to gather in one place. This conviction was shared by the ancient Scandinavians.

Many biblical events of negative import supposedly occurred on a Friday, including the ejection of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, the start of the Great Flood, and the crucifixion of Jesus.

Like many legends and superstitions, the origin of Friday the 13th will always be subject to speculation.
In the end, we take all the theories with a grain of salt (thrown over our left shoulder, of course).
So Are You ?? Supersitious ?? WHAT ARE YOU SUPERSTIOUS ABOUT ??
As for myself I am only a little superstious, here are mine:
1. I won't walk under a ladder
2. I have the greatest urge to stop my truck, turn around and go around the block when a black cat crosses the street in front of me.
3. If I drop a mirror and it breaks, I want to cry thinking about the 7 years of bad luck I will have ( darn I need a break).
Now friday the 13th , that's another story . That's my lucky day !
I was born on August 13th and I turned "13" on friday the 13th.
Hmm- - Does that make me a witch or something???
*My Thanks to Yahoo , I stole parts of their article for this post.

THEY TEACH THEIR CHILDREN YOUNG

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

DO THEY TEACH THEIR CHILDREN TO HATE A YOUNG AGE ??

North Korean children play a shooting game with a toy gun aiming at a portrait of U.S.President George W. Bush. These are kindergarden children in Shinwigu, at pyongan-Budo, North Korea.

--- ON ANOTHER NOTE ---

The first thing I saw this morning on my computer was a picture of Bush giving a speech in Georgia, The by-line was. Never thought the President was in danger by the inactive " Grenade" found 100 feet from where the President was giving his speech.

And now while I am typing this post I am listening to a press confrence. It seems that just a few minutes ago a small plane invaded "restricted airspace" in Washington D.C. , just 3 miles from the White House and government buidings. There was a fast evacuation.

Fighter jets and a Black Hawk helicopter was sent up immediately. I couldn't believe that upon interviewing one of the employees he complained that they didn't have much notice to get out, under the circumstances, I think they did a great job!

WELL! Has our dear beloved President Pissed some people off , or what ???

Watch the News tonight. You can be sure this will be on any channel you turn to.

RUIZ GOT A BUM RAP

RUIZ vs TONEY Posted by Hello

RUIZ DESERVED MORE CREDIT THEN HE RECEIVED

Last saturday I went to Wally World (Wal-Mart) with my daughter to do some shopping, just a boring sat. night so we took our time and enjoyed. When I got home my grandson said you just missed a fight. "What", I couldn't believe it. I thought he was mistaken. There was no free HBO fight scheduled for last saturday. So my conclusion was that I probably didn't miss anything , maybe a re-run. And then sunday my daughter and I are sitting in the living room and I see HBO sports. We didn't think much of it . Thought it was just some reviews and low-and behold, here comes the Ruiz-Toney fight. I swear I don't know what happened but it was suppose to be on "paid preview" --but there it was for free on HBO. Hey I'll take it anyway I can get it and for free seemed good to me .

Now as some of you know I've been away from boxing for a long time , so everyone is new to me and this is the first time that I am seeing either one of these boxers. So here comes Rd. 1 , it sucked Ruiz is a clincher, I know, I know they all hang on once in a while, but this guy is a clincher - BIG TIME- and I am yelling , you need to quit boxing and go into wrestling you jerk. Then he tryed to land some punches and totally missed Toney's head completely . But guess what it turned out to be (out of the few fights I have seen so far) the best one and Ruiz did not get the credit he deserved.

Is he clumsy? It appeared so. Did he clinch a lot ? Yes, more so in the first few rounds including a lot of punching on the back of the head. The Ref. was on it tho. A few words for the Ref. I got tickled , he reminded me of someone training their puppy. He deserves 5 stars***** he finally got Ruiz house broke if he even started to clinch , you could hear the Ref yelling no, no, no, good boy , good. Well, back to the fight. Rd. 2 was punch for punch for evey punch Toney landed Ruiz counter landed a good one. In fact at the end of Rd. 2 they were tied. I'm thinking I could get into this kind of fight! It was that way right up to the last round.

Toney kept banging away at the body, while Ruiz was landing some good head shots. I have to say Ruiz appeared to take thos body blows well. Even tho his side was brusing he never flinched. You know how some guys will kind of be pushed back a little by a punch. I never notice that with him, (body or face) he stood his ground. By the last couple of rounds Toney looked tired, they both did. But let's go back to Rd 7 for just a minute----

In Rd.7 Ruiz went down. Not all the way , his butt never hit the floor his glove held him up. They called it a knock down. I was so mad (still am), Ruiz didn't go down because of the punch Toney landed he went down because when he stepped back with his left ft. ,Toney stepped on his right ft. I mean his whole foot was on the top of Ruiz 's foot. They showed the replay over and over and it was very clear, but they would not do away with the knock down ruling. CAN SOMEONE PLEEEESE TELL ME WHY???

When it came time for the final decision I have to say I was disappointed. I thought it should have been a draw. But my gut feeling told me no way not with that knock down hanging over Ruiz's head. My daughter kept saying she thought it was going to be a draw. I don't know how many points they take off, or add to a fighters knock down, but in my book it was a pretty close fight. One of the judges score was -- 115-110 sounds pretty close to me. What about you??? Makes me wonder what it would have been had they done away with that knock down??

You know I thought I saw a pretty good fight sunday afternoon. But I think I'm the only one to see it that way. Most of the reviews didn't have much to say about Ruiz but they spoke about Toney like he really creamed Ruiz. What I saw in Toney was a very out of shape, pot bellied, not muscle bellied (like grampa's beer belly) fighter. And no matter how easy he tried to make that fight sound after he won, I say , he's full of it.

Can't wait to see him fight again , he better be in better shape next time or he might not hold that title for long.

I WOULD DROP DEAD !!!!!

HAVE A BOWL OF CEREAL -- PLEASE Posted by Hello

BOY FINDS SNAKE IN CEREAL PACKET - Wed May 4, 7:37 AM ET

A boy tucking into his breakfast had a nasty surprise when he discovered a two-foot long snake inside his packet of cereal.

Jordan Willett, 5, thought he had found a toy when the serpent -- a harmless corn snake -- slithered out of the packet of "Golden Puffs" his parents had bought from discount store Netto in Telford.

"It was quite long and popped its head up. I've seen snakes on TV before but never in a box of cereal," he told the Daily Mail newspaper.

Netto said on Wednesday it was talking to its suppliers to review procedures and check on its stock.

"This does seem to be a bizarre incident but we are treating it seriously," said Netto trading director Clive Cooper.

Corn snakes, which feed on mice and birds, are commonly kept as pets around the world.

The red and green that you see under the cat are different levels of training , last level is a yellow seat. The person got the idea from the movie "Meet the Fockers " and she'll probably make a fortune ,even if it doesn't work. Cat lovers everywhere will probably just have to give it a try.

Read the full story on Yahoo news under "Odd News" section. And view the "Add" for the poddy complete with pictures of the seats. http://litterkwitter.com.au/ Good luck to you and your cat.

POOR GIRL , WHAT DO YOU THINK ???

Jennifer Wilbanks Posted by Hello

So what do you think about her. Will the "Runaway Bride ", be prosecuted ???

I don't think she should be prosecuted, but I do have my opinion about her. Frankly I was shocked by her actions!

If she really couldn't face anyone to say she needed more time, she could have at least picked up a phone after she left and said she was fine and needed some alone time to think. If she feared an arguement she could have hung up immediately after letting someone know that she was alright, rather then putting everyone in such dispair.

I can't think of anything worse than having someone you love come up missing, especially a child, no matter how old that child may be. I believe it is possible for a parent to have a heart attack from the anguish of imagining what might have happened. Makes me wonder what she is really like???

I think she showed a great deal of imaturety and selfishness.

It was to me, like the act of a spoiled brat.---------Sorry that's just how I feel about it.

Maybe because I could never do something like that to people who loved me. But I could have said to someones face, that I'm not ready for this , and it would have been more then "ONE DAY", before the wedding.

Something is definitely wrong somewhere. If she's not spoiled rotten and doing this for attention and if she really couldn't talk at all about how she was feeling --- what does that say about her parents. ?????? I can understand her not wanting to hurt her fiances feelings this close to the wedding . but what does this say about her relationship with her parents , that she couldn't at least say something to one of them.

And what about Mr. Right, something has got to be wrong with him. If I were him after that stunt I would be re-thinking things my own self . I would be the one wanting to postpone the wedding for a while .

Maybe Mr. Right is really Mr. Wrong. I can't think of many men that I have known, that wouldn't be humiliated and insulted to the point of wanting to call the whole thing off.

Does he reallly love her that much, or does he have something to gain by being a member of the family ?? Makes one wonder??
